How Downloads Can Help You To Unlock Your Creativity

It is a matter of debate who actually coined the phrase that “everyone has a novel in them, and in most cases, that is where it should stay,” but it may also be the case that the world is poorer for the novels that never come to be written.

You may be among those who could produce a great novel, or at least a very decent one, but find it hard to get started. That is why now could be a great time to get some downloadable books to help with your creative writing.

The month ahead sees a new event called Novel November taking place. This was founded earlier this year with the support of UK novelists like Madeline Miller.

This has been set up to replace National Novel Writing Month, an event that was founded in 1999 by writer Chris Baty and friends, with the challenge of writing a whole novel in the space of a calendar month.

Events like this can provide more than just an attempt to get some ideas down on paper within a particular time frame; it is an opportunity to link up with others in the literary world.

However, nobody will be able to contribute much if they arrive empty-handed and downloading something to inspire you, equip you and teach you some techniques for writing could put you in a far better position to start making your mark.

The thing to remember is that your initial efforts don’t have to be Booker prize-winning stuff. It might be the first draft of something that can be refined later, or an idea that may ultimately go nowhere but give you the momentum you need to work on other ideas.

Perhaps the novels in the majority of people should indeed stay where they are, but if yours is an exception, now is the time to get inspired and bring it forth.
